Crafting In Rift

At launch I will be an armour crafter, miner and probably a butcher. This will work well, Michelle can access my account to craft any metal armour as needed. For those that have not tried crafting in Rift, it is very similiar to WoW. You may only take 3 of either the gathering skills or crafting skills.

Butchering

Crafting

Armoursmith (metal armour)
Weaponsmith
Outfitter (non metal armour)
Artificer (jewellery, wands,staves)
Runecrafting (runes and enchaments)
Apothecary (Potions)

Feel free to post what you are interested in so we can get everything covered without one person having all his/her alts crafting and all his/her time spent crafting. If someone is a dedicated crafter let us know, I would support if active enough just taking all gathering skills.

I'm either rolling rogue or mage, so I'll probably try to do Outfitting for sure as well as the gathering skill to go with it, then I think the best way to go would probably be a choice between artificer or runecrafting... I was an alchemist in WoW, I don't want to do apothecary.

I'll probably do outfitting and artificer if I roll a mage, or outfitter and runecrafter if I go rogue. I'll probably just level up my crafting as I level, so hopefully I can max out my crafting at about the same time I hit level cap.

Never played Wow.

Maybe I will go for weaponsmith or Runecrafting.

Going weaponsmith as well, having only one isn't enough just incase we need weapons & one of our weaponsmith isn't on then I can make some.

I will probably go outfitting with butchering and gathering. If we have a glut of outfitters I will go WC with butchering and mining. Since I play on playing a rogue, I want to at least have mats for folks to use to make me goodies.

Gathering will probably be a decent money maker as it will be needed for most consumables. The added bonus would be wood which makes bows.

Crafted items will basically get someone on the path to legend. The leather and cloth (with the exceptions 1 each cloth and leather item) I made in beta 5 were decent stats, nice looking, and fairly light on materials to create. The other bonus with outfitting is BAGS!!! Bag space is at historic lows in Rift.

I will be crafting wemons cloth only, starting a new fasion line called Maugulicios wear it at your own risk!

Well since it seems no one has taken the apothecary job I'll sign on for that duty. I'll probably choose foraging for my gathering skill since those 2 usually go hand in hand. If I need to pick up another craft or gathering skill I will do so as needed by the guild.

Does anyone have insight as to how to share items between guild members? The size of guild warehouse? Do we need to mail everything? I know in WoW the guild warehouse was a decent size and I hope they have something similar in Rift.

@Maug, sign me up man! I'll rock your new fashion line as I will most likely roll a mage at launch. Probably going to do a Pyro. Fire, fire, fire!!! lol

So far the guild bank has not been implemented. It will probably be upgradeable through xp earned through guild quests, like the guild perks (abilities). We managed to finish the first quest kill 1000 rift creatures and started another one. Do the realm of the Fae 15 times. I have been mailing everything so far.

I plan on going Armorcrafter with Butchering and Mining

I usually pick the armour craft skill in all the MMO's that I have played.

Hopefully I too can cap out on crafting by the time I hit the level cap

Same here. We have enough crafters. Except apoth. Ill pick dat up if we need more potions.

Ill be glad to give away my mats to ppl who need dem. I wonder if there will be a guild bank/vault. If so ill just put all the mats in there

Probably going Outfitting as it will go with the gear, and as well give us an outfitter in my probably off-time playtimes compared to some. So all you hardcore night owls (or early birds) can get swanky threads too.
